Not only a name but a new rug!

The Gnome has been named. We are proud to introduce.... Helmut. Good strong German/Polish name for our trusty Gnome. Also we are quite please with a new rug that Sue sent us. As you can see it's the first thing you see when you come through the front door!

Name the Gnome!

We are currently taking suggestions on what we should name our new gnome that was purchased for us by Sue. Be creative, be sincere or just throw something out there. All suggestions will be reviewed :)

When they aren't being naughty......

They almost look like friendly little creatures don't they? When they aren't eating walls and oh lest I forget, chewing a whole through our sitting room chair down to the foam. Considering we didn't even get one year out of those chairs, it's a bit annoying. So before spending the money to replace the not so cheap chairs. We will be purchasing a not so cheap full size baby/dog/hearth gate. This will only allow them room to roam in the kitchen and laundry area. We are keeping our fingers crossed that this will save the rest of our furniture.

He did it again................

Came home to ANOTHER hole scratched in the wall, about 6 inches from the one cameron is working on patching. Cameron decided to punish him by making him stay outside in the cold for all of about 15 minutes. He's such a stern disciplinarian. Looks like I'll be the big meeny to our "kids". So I told Parker how terrible he was and made him watch while I sprayed the spot with apple bitter. We'll see if that helps. He's currently sitting under my legs trying to soak up all the heat from my little forced air heater, since Cameron is being a miser with the heat!! I wish we had a radiator that I could hit with a wrench and yell "send up some heat!" Granted he does make sure it comes on in the mornings, otherwise he would never get me out of our warm toasty bed.

We spent last weekend thinking about doing yard work. We even ventured out to buy a tree trimmer that we haven't removed from the packaging yet. Heck we are the only house on the block that has two trees with green leaves on them still. Of course we will also be the only ones raking our leaves in DECEMBER! Shovel snow, pick up leaves, repeat......

Living room update!

This was the best I could do even with the blinds open. I'll see what happens in direct sunlight. But this gives you an idea.

Ok, I'm lame

I tried to take pictures of our completed grown up new living room. And duh, I tried taking them at 11:30 at night with no natural light. So guess what the pictures are too dark. I will retry in the morning. But to give you a hint, I'm posting Camerons new stereo and the super special cord cover that he put on AND hand painted himself to match the wall.

Feed your dog..........or else.

Cameron said he wasn't able to punish the no-no bad dog for sitting on the end table, because he was laughing too hard. Plus as he explains it, he came downstairs, saw her then had to go back up the stairs to get the camera and come back down hoping she hasn't moved. The creepy eyes were just added effect of "let me in or else".

I've been promising mom a picture of my license plate......

Plants, plants, plants...........

Ok, anyone that knows me can attest to the fact that I can kill a cactus. But I have decided to try and coax my green thumb out and have found that if I ignore it, it will grow. My new motto :)


Ok, I can't take credit for our "shame" looking better, Cameron has fertilized and seeded the tar out of it and it's showing some progress.

These are my pride and joy, we started these from 3" starts. And they have gone crazy.

Camerons red pepper plant I think he is planning on making chili.


My zuchini plant, i was smart and only planted one, and it's already doubled!


My tomatos!!! There are 5 plants all different types, from beefstake to yellow and romas

While I was away this weekend, a new member was added to our family.

Cameron said she was the last one left and no one wanted her, then it started to hail on her so he jumped in to rescue her. Parker was indifferent at first, Lexi hates her, but I'm sure they will all get along soon enough. I'll post more pictures as we go!

We got it! Yippee!

We picked up our new 2006 Hyundai Sonata LX V6 from the dealership today! Our salesman was very long suffering, he even drove to Merrillville Indiana (near Gary) to pick up our car and drive it back. And even though it may look purple it's not! I'm not fibbing! It's called Dark Cinnamon. It will change from burgandy to brown to almost a red. So here she is! (Name to be decided soon)
